Job summary

Snowy Hydro is seeking a proactive Project Engineer - Mechanical to join the Snowy 2.0 Owners Team. Your primary focus will be providing critical engineering oversight and assurance for mechanical construction and installation works, ensuring everything is built safely, to specification, and without compromising the project's legacy.

This 100% on-site role operates on a 14/7 FIFO roster, requiring strong collaboration with the Site Manager - Mechanical and the broader engineering team to drive

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering; eligible for Engineers Australia membership.
• Proven experience on large-scale civil, infrastructure or heavy industrial projects; hydropower is advantageous.
• Strong ability to review engineering docs and manage site QA/QC processes.

Responsibilities

• Installation & Oversight: daily onsite assurance that Contractor meets Employer Requirements and IFC drawings.
• Quality & Compliance: monitor tests, review ITPs, manage NCRs.
• Site Coordination: ensure attendance at active fronts, maintain records and daily progress reports.
• Technical Support & Commissioning: assist safety reviews and enable a seamless E&M/Civil handover.
