Job summary

Snowy Hydro is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join the Snowy 2.0 Owners team on site. You will oversee major FRP-related civil works, ensure compliance with design and QA/QC requirements, and support the Project Manager in delivering this nation-building project.

Based on a 14/7 FIFO roster, the role demands strong FRP expertise, reading IFC drawings, and ability to manage multiple stakeholders on a large-scale site with safety front and centre.

Qualifications

• An Engineering degree that meets the eligibility requirements for Corporate Membership of Engineers Australia.
• Heavy FRP Expertise: manage Formwork, Reinforcement and Pour (FRP) sequences.
• Technical sharpness: read structural scopes, specs and IFC drawings to detect issues.
• Stakeholder management: communicate with contractors, steelfixers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• FRP Quality & Delivery: oversee Formwork, Reinforcement and Pour sequences and QA points.
• Championing Safety: uphold high health and safety standards on site.
• Driving Construction Excellence: supervise contractor activities to prevent delays.
• Quality Management: own on-site QA process and review IFC drawings.
• Problem Solving: identify discrepancies and coordinate quick resolutions.
