Job summary

BGIS is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager for a major defence and shipbuilding site in Osborne, SA. This 100% on-site role reports to the Facilities Manager, supporting day-to-day operation, service delivery, and client liaison to meet contract KPIs.

The ideal candidate has facilities management experience, supervision skills, budgeting and tendering knowledge, and is eligible for NV1 clearance. Join BGIS to help ensure safety, quality and timely maintenance on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in a building or facilities management environment.
• Experience supervising staff or coordinating teams.
• Budgeting and invoicing experience.
• QA, WHS and environmental systems experience.
• Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, client-facing.
• Australian Citizen with ability to obtain NV1 clearance.
• Current Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage the CMMS; ensure preventive and reactive work orders meet KPIs.
• Act as the first point of contact for the client and stakeholders.
• Supervise and support on-site maintenance staff.
• Schedule and oversee service contracts and inspections.
• Support subcontractor management and related documentation.
• Carry out regular maintenance inspections of services and equipment.
• Follow up job requests and inform client of overdue works.
• Review invoices, raise client invoices, and manage PO register.
• Prepare monthly contract reports and run client meetings.
• Support tendering and scopes of work development.
• Maintain SharePoint in line with QMS.
• Join after-hours on-call roster and assist WHS/compliance.
