Job summary

John Paul College invites applications for a part-time Residential Boarding Supervisor to support our Boarding Village on campus. The role is term-time only (January to November 2027), averaging 20–25 hours per week, with on-site accommodation provided and participation in the on-call roster.

The successful candidate will be caring, dependable, and collaborative, ensuring a safe, supportive environment for boarding students and staff while coordinating with nurses and academic staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Blue Card required or ability to obtain before starting.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Open Driver Licence with a safe driving record.
• Willingness to live on campus and participate in the on-call roster.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, email).
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow routine procedures.
• Experience working with young people is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide active supervision across daily routines, recreational activities, study sessions and events.
• Support students' wellbeing and personal development with firm, fair boundaries.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive environment with duty of care.
• Supervise unwell students and liaise with health staff as needed.
• Participate in the Boarding on-call roster outside rostered hours.
• Supervise study sessions and assist with homework routines.
