Job summary

Quicksilver Group is hiring Offshore Deckhands to support reef cruises offshore from Port Douglas. You will be part of a professional marine team, working a rotating 4 days on/2 days off roster with three nights aboard the offshore pontoon.

Duties include vessel maintenance, operating support craft, and delivering reef commentary while ensuring guest and crew safety. Applicants should hold Coxswains NC1 and First Aid/CPR, with rope handling and docking experience.

Qualifications

• Coxswains NC1 or equivalent qualification.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Competency in rope handling and vessel docking.
• Good communication and ability to work in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Daily preparation and maintenance of offshore vessel, pontoon, small craft and equipment.
• Operate small craft and coral viewers as required.
• Deliver reef interpretive commentary to guests.
• Provide high level customer service and ensure safety for guests and crew.
• Assist other crew members as needed.
