Job summary

Sydney Portugal Community Club in Marrickville, NSW, is seeking a Full-time Office Manager to coordinate office administration and staff support across dining, events, social activities and cultural programs.

You will manage records, supplies and communications with staff, members and external partners, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with health and safety requirements. The role offers a competitive salary and a 38-hour week.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience as an Office Manager.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage records, accounts documentation and administrative systems.
  • Strong communication skills with staff, members, suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Sound understanding of office procedures, workplace health and safety requirements and administrative compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, review and improve office services, administrative procedures and service standards to support the club’s dining, events, social activities and cultural programs.
  • Coordinate administrative resources, office space, equipment and supplies to ensure daily club operations run efficiently and professionally.
  • Assign administrative duties, monitor staff work performance and support team members involved in reception, office support, member services and event administration.
  • Maintain accurate office records, member information, correspondence, accounts documentation, bookings and other operational records in line with club procedures.
  • Liaise with management, staff, suppliers, members, event organisers and external professionals to coordinate office business and resolve administrative issues.
  • Ensure office equipment, stationery, filing systems and administrative tools are maintained and available to support community programs and venue operations.
  • Support compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, relevant policies, procedures and administrative obligations applicable to club operations.
  • Coordinate personnel administration such as rostering support, onboarding, payroll information, training records, performance administration and staff communication.
  • Assist with administration for club events, dining services, cultural programs and social activities, including bookings, scheduling, supplier coordination and member enquiries.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, meeting documents and internal communications to support management decision‑making and smooth operation of the club.
