Job summary

Plena Healthcare is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join our Residential Aged Care team in Western Australia. You will deliver personalised assessments and therapy plans within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.

The role offers a salary of $80,000–$90,000 plus super, flexible work arrangements, ongoing professional development, and opportunities to contribute to resident outcomes through our Plena Care Pathway.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration.
• Australian working rights.
• Willing to obtain NDIS workers screening and National Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessments and clinical recommendations for activities of daily living, mobility, transfers, falls risk, equipment needs, pressure area care, skin integrity, arthritis management and pain.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adapt to Plena needs and the aged care setting within the Occupational Therapy scope.

Your Opportunity:

As a qualified Occupational Therapist working in Residential Aged Care, you will be joining a large and collaborative multidisciplinary team providing personalised treatments.

You will be involved in a new innovative way of offering allied health services to our wonderful Clients. Our Plena Care Pathway has been designed to provide our therapists with an opportunity to tailor therapy programs for our residents, built from resident goals and priorities, and delivers evidence-based mobility and functional programs, care plan reviews, one-to-one therapy interventions and group based active aging services.

Duties will include, but not limited to:

• Provide comprehensive assessments and clinical recommendation to support consumer activities of daily living, mobility, and transfers, falls risk and prevention, equipment requirements, pressure area care and skin integrity management, arthritic joint management, and pain management.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to the needs of Plena and the aged care facilities, and work within the scope of the Occupational Therapy profession.
