Job summary

Plena Healthcare in Australia is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join our community-based team. You will deliver clinical and therapeutic interventions and work within multidisciplinary teams to support daily living activities and mobility.

You will be supported by treatment pathways that promote rehabilitation and goal achievement for our clients, with flexible work options and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration.
• Australian working rights and willingness to obtain NDIS screening and police check.
• Experience delivering community-based OT services is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide community-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions.
• Support activities of daily living, mobility, transfers, and falls risk management.
• Collaborate with a large multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care.

Your Opportunity:

As a qualified Occupational Therapist working in a community setting,you will be joining a large and collaborative multidisciplinary team providing personalised treatments.

In the role you will utilise your Occupational Therapist skills to provide clinical and therapeutic interventions that support positive health and wellbeing outcomes for customers. You will be supported by clinical treatment pathways that provides optimal rehabilitation and goal achievement for our consumers.

Duties will include, but not limited to:

• The consumers you will be seeing in the community are referred through the following government funded models, Home Care Packages, Short Term Restorative Care, Commonwealth Home Support Programme and Private funding.


• Provide comprehensive assessments and clinical recommendation to support consumer activities of daily living, mobility, and transfers, falls risk and prevention, equipment requirements, pressure area care and skin integrity management, arthritic joint management, and pain management.


• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to the needs of Plena and community-based providers to work within the scope of the Occupational Therapy profession.
