Job summary

Ability Action Australia is seeking an Occupational Therapist for the Port Macquarie & Taree region. You will manage an allocated caseload and deliver timely therapeutic services, with the option to work close to home.

Qualifications

• Must be an AHPRA-registered Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Manage an allocated caseload (based on negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services.
• Assess participants’ developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function via observations and standardised assessments.
• Interpret findings to formulate individualized treatment goals for each participant.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to enhance quality of life and meet goals.
• Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance.

Job Description

We’re growing our #AAA team and looking for an Occupational Therapist based in the Port Macquarie & Taree region. Depending on your location, you’ll have the opportunity to work close to home!

In this role you will:

• Manage an allocated caseload (based on your negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services
• Assess participants’ developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
• Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help participants enhance their quality of life and meet their goals
• Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Current Occupational Therapy membership with AHPRA
• Passionate about community‑based support for people with disability
