Job summary

Ability Action Australia seeks an Occupational Therapist to support participants across the Sutherland Shire region, including Caringbah, Cronulla and Lower St George, with flexible hours and mobile service options. You will deliver timely therapeutic services, assess development and functional capacity, and create individualized goals within a multidisciplinary team.

• Current Occupational Therapist registration with AHPRA.

Responsibilities

• Manage an allocated caseload and deliver timely therapeutic services.
• Assess participants’ developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function.
• Interpret findings to formulate individualized treatment goals.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve quality of life.
• Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance.

As our #AAA team continues to grow, we’re looking for an Occupational Therapist to support participants across the Sutherland Shire region, covering Caringbah, Cronulla and Lower St George, depending on where you're based.

In this role you will:

• Manage an allocated caseload (based on your negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services
• Assess participants’ developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
• Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help participants enhance their quality of life and meet their goals
• Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy membership with AHPRA
• Passionate about community‑based support for people with disability
• Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
• Time management & organisational skills to manage varied caseload
