Job summary

Ability Action Australia is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support participants across the Illawarra region, covering North and South Wollongong. You will manage a caseload with flexible hours and deliver clinical services in home, community, and clinic settings.

You’ll assess development, cognition, emotion, and physical function, set goals, and provide evidence-based interventions to enhance quality of life, while staying up-to-date with legislation and best practices.

• AHPRA-registered Occupational Therapist.
• Passion for community-based disability support.
• Thrives in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Looking for CPD opportunities, we've got you!

As our #AAA team continues to grow, we’re looking for an Occupational Therapist to support participants across the Illawarra region, covering North and South Wollongong, depending on where you’re based.

• Manage an allocated caseload (based on your negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services
• Assess participants’ developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
• Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help participants enhance their quality of life and meet their goals
• Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy membership with AHPRA
• Passionate about community-based support for people with disability
• Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
• Time management & organisational skills to manage varied caseload
