Job summary

Ability Action Australia is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to support participants across the Taree region, with caseload tailored to your experience. You’ll mentor graduates and work closely with a multidisciplinary team in a community-based setting.

You will contribute to person-centred plans, remain compliant with current legislation, and help participants achieve independence and wellbeing while developing professionally within our growing organisation.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy membership with AHPRA.
• Experience as an Occupational Therapist or Senior Occupational Therapist beyond graduation.
• Passionate about community‑based support for people with disability.

Responsibilities

• Manage an allocated caseload and deliver timely therapeutic services.
• Assess participants’ developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function.
• Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve quality of life and meet goals.
• Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support participant outcomes.
• Caseload will be tailored to your experience, interests and goals.
• Support the growth and development of graduates and early career clinicians.

As our #AAA teamcontinues to grow, we’re looking for a Senior Occupational Therapistto support participants across theTareeregion, depending on where you’re based- work close to home!

As an experienced clinician, you’ll bring your expertise to a supportive and collaborative environment where you can make a meaningful impact in the lives of your participants, contribute to team development, and continue growing professionally.

• Manage an allocated caseload (based on your negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services
• Assess participants’ developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
• Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help participants enhance their quality of life and meet their goals
• Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to support participant outcomes
• Caseload will be tailored to your experience, interests and professional goals
• Support the growth and development of graduates and early career clinicians.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Current Occupational Therapymembership with AHPRA
• Experience as an Occupational Therapist or Senior Occupational Therapistbeyond graduation
• Passionate about community‑based support for people with disability
• Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
• Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
• Desire to mentor graduates and early career clinicians
