Job summary

CDC NSW is seeking an OCC Controller for our Seven Hills Operational Customer Centre. This permanent part-time role (24 hours/week) oversees real-time bus service performance, minimizing delays and responding to incidents using PTIPS and TRBOnet.

You will work an overnight roster (10:00pm–6:00am) on Sat, Sun and Mon nights, based at Seven Hills, coordinating with drivers, mechanics and control room staff to restore service and maintain safety and punctuality.

Qualifications

• Fluent English with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Able to think logically and stay calm in changing priorities.
• Willing to work in a varied shift pattern including weekends.
• Proficient with computers and new technologies.
• Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment.
• Working With Children Check for Paid Employment (or willing to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Monitor On-Time-Running (OTR) of bus fleet in real-time using PTIPS and update KPI’s per TfNSW.
• Use TRBOnet radio system to contact fleet and handle call back/open channel requests.
• Identify and resolve driver-reported issues communicated via radio.
• Coordinate with mechanical staff on breakdowns and arrange repairs or changes.
• Escalate major incidents to relevant parties and attend scenes as CDC representative.
