• Provide education sessions to squads to enable use of dashboards and alerts effectively.

We are looking for a Monitoring Consultant with strong expertise in Splunk, Dynatrace, APM, alerting, and synthetic monitoring. The role will work closely with application teams to understand monitoring needs, build dashboards and alerts, and provide guidance on effective monitoring practices.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with application teams to understand monitoring requirements and assist with onboarding.
• Design and develop operational dashboards in Splunk and Dynatrace.
• Configure and maintain alerts based on application and infrastructure requirements. Reduce alert noise by refining alert logic and escalation criteria.
• Define thresholds, anomaly detection rules, and notification channels.
• Develop Splunk searches, reports, and queries.
• Provide education session to the squads to enable them to use these dashboards and alerts effectively.

Skills required

• Strong SPL query development skills.
• Experience configuring alerts and reports.
• Experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM).
• Can provide consultation to teams on synthetic monitoring aspects.
