Lovisa is seeking a Payroll Officer to join our Payroll Operations team to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing across the New Zealand portfolio.

The role focuses on end-to-end NZ payroll processing, collaborating with stores, managers, and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional employee experience and robust payroll controls. Prior NZ payroll exposure and data-driven mindset are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years payroll experience, ideally NZ payroll exposure
• End-to-end payroll processing experience within a medium to large organisation
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation, taxation, leave entitlements, and statutory obligations
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
• Intermediate Excel skills and ability to analyse payroll data
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to prioritise competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach

Responsabilités

• Process payroll in line with NZ legislative requirements and company policies
• Set up new employees and maintain payroll and time & attendance records
• Process employment changes, salary increases, terminations, and back pays
• Manage payroll enquiries and provide outstanding support to employees and leaders
• Prepare payroll reporting and support month-end activities, reconciliations, and payroll journals
• Assist with payroll audits and compliance requirements
• Maintain payroll documentation and process guides
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and system enhancements
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business
