Job summary

NSW Health’s Concord Repatriation General Hospital is seeking a Nursing Unit Manager (Level 2) for Medical Imaging. Based at the Imaging ward, you will lead nursing staff to ensure high quality, patient- and family-centred care while supporting service delivery objectives.

This temporary full-time role runs 38 hours per week from December 2026 to January 2028, offering a competitive salary and NSW Health benefits. Applicants should have AHPRA registration and rostering experience.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate has tertiary qualifications in management and/or specialty, or is working towards attainment in same, or extensive clinical experience in the field.
• Current unencumbered Registration with AHPRA.
• Experience in rostering; managing skill mix and care delivery models.
• Proficient problem solving skills and experience in performance management.

• Responsibilities in relation to patient services, ward or unit management and staff management are in excess of Level 1.

About the Role

You will be based at Concord Repatriation General Hospital, which has provided outstanding healthcare for more than 70 years. Building on its proud heritage of caring for the veteran community, the hospital now delivers a broad range of specialist and general health services to the communities of Concord, Strathfield, Burwood and surrounding areas.

The Imaging Nursing Unit Manager role is responsible for the operational management and leadership of nursing/ staff to ensure the provision of high quality patient and family centred care and nursing and or midwifery excellence at unit/ward level.

The Imaging Nursing Unit Manager Level 2 responsibilities in relation to patient services, ward or unit management and staff management are in excess of those of a Nursing Unit Manager Level 1.
