Job summary

Estia Health Mount Gravatt East is seeking experienced Assistants in Nursing for casual shifts. You’ll help residents with daily living, support a caring team, and contribute to a safe, respectful environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, have caregiver experience, and strong clinical documentation and computer skills. We value compassion, reliability and clear communication with residents and families.

Qualifications

• Experience providing person-centred care to residents in aged care settings.
• Strong clinical documentation and computer skills for charting and communication.
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate clearly with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (dressing, bathing, feeding).
• Support residents with challenging needs and maintain safety.
• Encourage residents to stay active and engaged in activities.
• Monitor residents’ health and assist with treatments as directed.
• Be a compassionate presence, ensuring privacy and dignity.

About the Role

We currently have casual opportunities at Estia Health Mount Gravatt East for experienced Assistants in Nursing with good availability.

• Lend a hand with daily life – making sure our residents feel heard, comfy and well-fed
• Work with our team to support those with challenging needs
• Help keep our residents’ bodies and minds active
• Keep tabs on our residents’ health – helping with treatments

You’ll be a true team player and great communicator, with:

• A real desire to make a difference in people’s lives
• A Certificate III or IV in Aged Care
• Time spent working as a caregiver or similar
• Solid clinical documentation and computer skills
