Responsibilities

• Assist the medical practitioner in patient triage, acute illness care, health assessments and chronic disease management.
• Support the Practice Manager by coordinating day-to-day operation of the Treatment Room.
• Provide guidance to the Nursing team and maintain clinical standards.
• Identify and contribute to patient education needs.
• Implement and practise infection control.

About the role

• Assisting the medical practitioner in delivering medical services: patient triage, acute illness, health assessments /injury management, rehabilitation and chronic disease management


• Supporting the Practice Manager through coordinating and monitoring the day to day operation of the Treatment Room


• Providing support and guidance to the Nursing team on clinical issues and ensuring standards are maintained


• Identifying & contributing to the development of patient educational needs


• Implementing and practising infection control

Skills & experience

• Current AHPRA registration - Registered Nurse (Division 1)


• Previous experience in a supervisory role


• Demonstrated leadership skills and excellent communication skills


• Proven multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills
