Job summary

IPN Medical Centres is seeking a part-time nurse to cover parental leave in our Melbourne GP practices. The role requires delivering high-quality nursing care, supporting doctors and patients, and coordinating clinic operations.

Availability on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays will be required, with ~22.5 hours per week across the roster. Ideal candidates will have AHPRA registration, experience in a general practice setting, and proficiency with medical software.

Qualifications

• Experience in or willingness to work in general practice.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Chronic Disease Management exposure.
• AHPRA registered nurse and patient care.
• Proficient with medical software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality clinical nursing services to doctors and patients.
• Manage vaccinations, wound care, and pathology collection.
• Support chronic disease management and recall processes.
• Coordinate treatment room operations and cold chain management.
• Ensure sterilisation and safe clinical environment.

About the role

Deliver quality clinical nursing services to Doctors and patients including chronic disease management, triage, vaccinations, wound care, pathology collection, health assessments, recall, coordination of the treatment room, cold chain management and sterilisation.

Skills & experience

• Previous experience working in general practice is preferred however not essential
