Job summary
Portland District Health is seeking a suitably qualified Registered Nurse to join the Nursing team as Project Officer for the Planned Surgery Improvement project. The role focuses on ESIS readiness, data reporting, and achieving equitable access and timely treatment in line with the Victorian Planned Surgery Reform Blueprint.
You will lead service redesign, engage stakeholders, and ensure patients are prepared for surgery and appropriately discharged.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with NMBA registration via AHPRA.
- Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience, perioperative preferred.
- Ability to lead service redesign and implement systems.
- Postgraduate qualifications in perioperative nursing or health leadership desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead Planned Surgery Improvement project to meet DH reform blueprint.
- Enable ESIS readiness and compliant elective surgery reporting.
- Engage departments and stakeholders to implement patient-centred pathways.
- Ensure patients are prepared for surgery and appropriately discharged.
