Job summary

Discover Nursing Australia is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join a 1:1 night-shift team in Chatswood. The role operates under a nurse-led framework with a focus on high-intensity support and complex care needs.

You will work with a participant requiring overnight assistance, with training and competency development provided within a supportive nurse-led organisation.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Current National Police Check.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Current CPR certification.
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and You.
• ABN or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support during high-intensity night shifts (5:45 pm–6:30 am).
• Assist with PEG feeding and enteral nutrition per the participant's plan.
• Assist with medications via PEG as required by the plan.
• Monitor for seizures and manage as directed.
• Provide chest physiotherapy, cough assist and positioning/repositioning.
• Deliver personal care and monitor overall wellbeing.
• Follow established clinical and emergency management plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
