Job summary

Ello Care in Australia is seeking committed Support Workers for night shift and sleepover duties to assist participants with complex psychosocial needs. The role focuses on overnight support, maintaining routines and providing a calm, safe environment to promote independence and wellbeing.

Ideal candidates will hold a Disability Support qualification (Cert III/IV or equivalent), have NDIS compliance knowledge, strong communication skills and a valid First Aid/CPR certificate.

Qualifications

• Availability and reliability to work night shifts and sleepover shifts.
• Strong understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards, legislation and quality framework.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in accordance with individualised care plans.
• Assist clients with evening and overnight routines, including personal care and medication management.
• Remain available and responsive throughout the night, including sleepover duties as required.
• Maintain accurate overnight records and communicate updates to the care team.
• Support emergency situations calmly and effectively if they arise during the shift.
• Demonstrate empathy, patience and respect for each individual's needs and preferences.
• Advocate for clients' rights and ensure their voices are heard.
