Job summary

Pearson Carter is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth as a new contractor entering the Northern Territory market. The role is hands-on, field-based, and focused on building a customer base from scratch in civil works, earthworks and wet-hire equipment.

You will travel extensively to meet clients, develop relationships with major contractors and regional councils, and secure ongoing work across wet-hire, civil works and project overflow.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development, sales or account management.
• Existing relationships across contractors, councils, mining or infrastructure clients.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the NT and regional areas.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the Northern Territory.
• Build relationships with project managers, operations leaders, procurement teams and council representatives.
• Develop and manage a strong pipeline of wet-hire and civil opportunities.
• Conduct regular regional travel, site visits and face-to-face client meetings.
• Prepare quotes, proposals and commercial submissions.
• Negotiate contracts and secure recurring project work.
• Maintain relationships with existing customers to generate repeat business.
