Job summary

McNab Group is seeking a Business Development Manager with deep knowledge of the NSW commercial construction market to strengthen our Sydney presence. You’ll lead local relationships and identify opportunities, coordinating with the South East Queensland team and our leadership group.

You will develop a robust NSW business development plan, grow group supply relationships, and connect specialists to win work. Join a team that values local expertise and partnership-building.

Qualifications

• Proven business development or sales experience within construction supply, manufacturing, commercial subcontracting or commercial building.
• Strong knowledge of the NSW market, including procurement practices, project pipeline and builders’ needs.
• Track record of generating opportunities and converting them into sales, secured work or partnerships.
• Understanding of how builders tender, procure and select supply and subcontract partners.

Responsibilities

• Grow our NSW group supply businesses by identifying opportunities to supply products and accessories to builders, developers and contractors.
• Strengthen subcontractor and supplier relationships by expanding the local network and connecting teams with capable partners.
• Identify broader Group opportunities through market awareness, events, and introductions for new business and partnerships.
• Develop and deliver a business development plan focused on the NSW market.
• Meet regularly with construction leaders, procurement teams and industry contacts to understand upcoming projects and purchasing needs.
• Promote the products and capabilities of our group supply businesses across NSW, including mesh, tapware, bathroom fixtures, drainage and accessories.
• Generate qualified leads and coordinate proposals and commercial discussions with relevant teams.
• Develop subcontractor and supplier connections to support tendering, procurement and project delivery.
• Share market intelligence and introductions with Construction leadership to maintain a clear opportunity pipeline.
• Maintain a pipeline and ensure smooth handovers to ongoing relationships.
