Job summary

NSW Rural Fire Service is seeking a Learning Development Coordinator (Northern) to shape training across the RFS, coordinate learning for volunteers, and strengthen capability across multiple Area Commands and Districts.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Area Commands, Districts, and specialist teams to deliver high-quality learning outcomes while supporting volunteer trainers and assessors.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating training and assessment activities in complex operational or volunteer-based environments.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and competency-based training.

Responsibilities

• Help shape training across the RFS, supporting volunteers, strengthening capability and coordinating learning across Area Commands and Districts.
• Collaborate with Area Commands, Districts and specialist teams to deliver consistent, accessible learning outcomes.
• Support learning and development personnel, volunteer Trainers and Assessors to maintain high-quality programs.
