Job summary

CHEP UK Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Service Centre Supervisor for the Night Shift at Eastern Creek to lead the night team, with substantial time on the floor, coaching and ensuring a strong safety culture. You will drive operational discipline and partner with leaders to deliver results.

The role focuses on safety, quality, service, and productivity, requiring visible leadership, excellent communication, and a commitment to enabling frontline teams to perform at their best.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams within a manufacturing, production, logistics, warehousing or operational environment.
• A genuine commitment to safety and the confidence to challenge unsafe behaviours or shortcuts.
• A leadership style that is visible, approachable and focused on supporting frontline teams.
• The ability to build trust, credibility and engagement across diverse teams.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to set clear expectations.
• Experience coaching, developing and influencing team members to perform at their best.
• Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor or equivalent leadership position is highly regarded.
• Most importantly, a genuine desire to lead from the front and help others succeed

Responsibilities

• Leading a safe, inclusive and high-performing night shift team
• Spending the majority of your shift on the floor, working closely with your team and leading from the front
• Building a strong safety culture where standards and processes are consistently followed
• Coaching team members in the moment and reinforcing safe ways of working
• Building trust through consistency, communication and following through on commitments
• Maintaining strong performance across safety, quality, service and productivity measures
• Holding yourself and your team accountable while creating an environment where people feel supported to perform at their best
• Planning resources and coordinating night shift activities to meet operational requirements
• Working closely with Team Leaders and the broader site leadership team to deliver operational priorities
