Job summary

Bindaree Food Group is seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Trades Assistant at our Burleigh Heads facility in Queensland. You will strip, clean and prepare production equipment, reassemble machinery for the next run and test equipment for issues while maintaining hygiene standards.

This hands-on role suits someone mechanically minded, reliable and able to work independently or as part of a fast-paced team. Prior experience in manufacturing or food production is preferred, and safety is a core

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with production equipment.
• Reliable and capable of working hands-on in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, food production or maintenance is preferred.
• Good physical fitness and able to perform manual handling tasks.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Strip, clean and prepare production equipment after each shift.
• Reassemble machinery and consumables for the next run.
• Test equipment and perform basic troubleshooting to identify issues.
• Change, clean and maintain dies, knives and blades.
• Ensure machine parts are stored safely and tracked.
• Maintain high hygiene standards during cleaning of high-risk equipment.
• Return equipment and production items to designated locations.

Night Shift Maintenance Trades Assistant

As a Breakdown Crew Operator, you'll play a critical role in preparing and maintaining equipment, helping ensure our operations run safely, efficiently and on schedule. Your new day to day:

• Strip, clean and prepare production equipment following each shift
• Reassemble machinery and consumables ready for the next production run
• Test equipment and perform basic troubleshooting to identify issues
• Change, clean and maintain dies, knives and blades
• Ensure all machine parts are accounted for and safely stored
• Complete cleaning of high-risk equipment to required hygiene standards
• Return equipment and production items to designated locations
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and confidence working with equipment
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipReliable, punctual and committed to meeting daily production deadlines
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and identifying equipment issues
• Commitment to workplace safety, hygiene and food quality standards
