Job summary

Teys Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Trade Assistant to join the Maintenance team at our Beenleigh processing site in Queensland. You will be a full-time employee from day one, earning a wage + super with occasional overtime and penalty rates.

Ideal candidates will have basic mechanical knowledge, be physically fit for repetitive tasks in a cold, wet meat environment, and show strong communication and teamwork while following strict hygiene and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge or experience in a similar trade assistant/laborer role.
• Physically fit and capable of handling repetitive and manual tasks in cold, wet environments.
• Willingness to work in a meat processing facility (including exposure to blood, raw meat, and by-products).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow hygiene and safety standards.
• Q-Fever vaccinated (or willing to get).
• Two professional references.
• Excellent communication and technical skills.
• Be organised and committed, and turn up for your shift on time, every time.
• Be safe and act responsibly, safety is everyone’s responsibility including you.
• Be a team player and willing to help others get the job done.
