Job summary

Respect Glenella Care is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our clinical team for night duties. This role involves delivering safe, person-centred nursing care to residents under AHPRA guidance, reporting to the Care Manager and General Manager, and participating in GP rounds and multidisciplinary collaboration.

The RN will manage care plans, maintain documentation, and ensure high-quality, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Knowledge of the Residential Classification Scale and the Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Current National Police Certificate (or the ability to obtain one).
• Understanding of government standards and legislative requirements for the delivery of aged care.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• An understanding of the aged care accreditation process.

Responsibilities

• Compile a comprehensive history from residents and family to identify care needs during admission and ongoing assessments.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation reflecting care delivery.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate resident care plans and assist with admissions.
• Provide direct clinical care including hygiene, pain management, and GP rounds participation.
• Administer medications with proper ordering, storage, and documentation.
• Work with the multidisciplinary team to deliver resident outcomes.
• Promote a safe, respectful environment for residents, families and staff.
