Job summary

Respect Glenella Care in Mackay (Queensland) is seeking a Night Duty Registered Nurse to join our clinical team. The role focuses on safe, person-centred care, supporting residents' comfort, dignity, and independence.

The position is available as Full-time, Part-time or Casual, with rosters determined in consultation. You will hold AHPRA registration and work within aged care standards with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Knowledge of Residential Classification Scale and the Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Compile a comprehensive history from residents and/or family members to identify care needs through admissions and ongoing assessments.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation reflecting care delivery.
• Develop and evaluate resident care plans and assist with admission assessments.
• Provide direct clinical care including personal hygiene, pain management and GP rounds participation.
• Administer medications and ensure proper ordering, storage and documentation per policies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver resident outcomes.
• Promote a safe, respectful environment for residents, families, and colleagues.
• Meet regulatory requirements for Aged Care Worker Screening.
