Job summary

Respect Aged Care in Australia is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe and competent clinical nursing care to residents, reporting to the Care Manager and General Manager. The role includes direct clinical duties and medication administration within aged care standards.

Essential requirements include AHPRA registration, a National Police Certificate, and knowledge of aged care funding & standards, with adherence to the Aged Care Worker Screening process.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration.
• National Police Certificate.
• Knowledge of Residential Classification Scale and Standards for Aged Care.
• Knowledge of Commonwealth Aged Care Funding Instrument.
• Compliance with Aged Care Worker Screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Compile comprehensive history from residents/family to identify care needs.
• Maintain high level of documentation reflecting care delivery.
• Develop and evaluate resident care plans and assist with admissions.
• Assist with direct clinical care (personal hygiene, pain management, GP rounds).
• Administer medications and manage ordering, storage and documentation.
