Job summary

BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort is seeking a reliable Night Caretaker to join our team. The role involves after-hours guest service, late check-ins, and nightly security patrols in a live-out capacity.

This 3–4 night per week position runs from 3/4pm to 10:30pm. The ideal candidate is independent, customer-focused and able to handle maintenance tasks as needed, with Australian citizenship or permanent residency preferred.

• Background in maintenance is highly regarded.
• Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional after-hours customer service to resort guests.
• Assist with late guest check-ins and respond to guest inquiries and requests.
• Conduct regular security patrols throughout the resort.
• Attend to minor maintenance issues as required.
• Collect and return rubbish bins and keep the resort safe and well presented during the night.

About the Role

This position is 3-4 nights per week 3/4pm until 10.30pm, with the opportunity for additional shifts in the future.

As our Night Caretaker, you'll be responsible for:

• Providing exceptional after hours customer service to our resort guests.
• Assisting with late guest check ins and responding to guest enquiries and requests.
• Conducting regular security patrols throughout the resort.
• Attending to minor maintenance issues where required.
• Collecting and returning rubbish bins.
• Ensuring the resort remains safe, secure and well presented throughout the night.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Is trustworthy, reliable and able to work independently.
• Remains calm and professional when dealing with guest enquiries or unexpected situations.
• Is physically fit and happy to perform a variety of tasks throughout the shift.
• Has a practical, hands on approach.

A background in maintenance is highly regarded, this position is only open to Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents.
