Job summary

Mantra Pandanas in the heart of Darwin seeks a Night Auditor/ Cleaner to safeguard nightly operations, process night reports, and assist guests with inquiries while upholding Accor's service standards.

You will work 11pm to 7am, coordinate with security and maintenance, support housekeeping, and help ensure a safe, clean and welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Independent worker who can take initiative with minimal supervision.
• Warm, welcoming communication with guests and team.
• Prior night audit and accounts experience is highly beneficial.
• Physically fit to work in indoor and outdoor areas, including stairs.
• Quick-thinking problem solver focused on guest needs.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of the reception desk duties and manage the crucial night audit process, ensuring that nightly reports are accurate and up to date
• Assist guests with all enquiries and provide accurate information to guests about the property facilities and features
• Work closely with security to keep a watchful eye on the building's security systems, contributing to a safe and secure environment for guests and staff alike
• Embrace the cleaning challenge, sprucing up both indoor and outdoor public areas, restocking linen, housekeeping and maintenance trolleys to meet our high cleanliness and presentation standards
• Expertly handle specialised equipment and chemicals with safety in mind
• Embrace the distinctive night shifts at our hotel, spanning from 11pm to 7am
• Be the eyes and ears for our maintenance and guest services teams, reporting any issues promptly, from maintenance problems, to damaged equipment and missing items

Purpose

As a Night Auditor/ Cleaner, you will be the go-to person of the property when everyone else is asleep! You will step into the role of a financial detective, making sure all the puzzle pieces fit perfectly in preparation for the next day’s trading. Whether it is a late-night guest inquiry, a minor maintenance issue or spill, you are there to provide assistance and maintain the hotel's reputation for exceptional service.

Skills and Experience

• You will be an independent worker who can take initiative and excel without constant supervision


• Your communication style is warm and welcoming, making both guests and team members feel at ease


• Prior experience in Night Audit and Accounts and technical know-how to efficiently handle the nightly audit of all hotel transactions is highly beneficial


• Adaptability and physical fitness to work in both internal and external environments, including staircases and uncovered areas


• Quick-thinking problem solver, putting the guest's needs at the forefront, and taking pride in crafting and delivering memorable guest experiences
