Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dedicated Night Auditor in Adelaide for overnight front desk coverage. You will balance nightly transactions and prepare reports while ensuring a seamless guest experience after hours.

The role requires strong customer focus, auditing skills, and the ability to handle wake-up calls, payments, and inquiries with professionalism. A 7-day overnight roster including weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, colleagues and third parties reflecting well on the hotel and brand.
• Ability to problem solve, stay organized and adapt quickly in the moment.
• Accounting and mathematics skills for accurate auditing and payment processing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of Opera is highly regarded.
• Driver's License preferred.
• RSA and Food Safety Certificates.
• Availability to work a 7-day overnight roster including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Night Manager in preparing overnight reports and balance daily transactions.
• Process room charges, debit/credit, cash and cheques following procedures.
• Check guests in/out and manage wake-up call requests.
• Answer phones and handle overnight guest inquiries.
• Perform concierge tasks, room service and special requests as needed.
• Ensure the safety and security of guests and staff.

Our hotels never sleep. So we are looking for a Night Auditor who shares our commitment to excellence and who thrives in a dynamic, guest-focused environment. you will be responsible for providing overnight front desk services and ensuring the accuracy of hotel financial records for the day. You will play a key role in delivering a seamless guest experience after hours while maintaining hotel operations, security, and service standards.

As a Night Auditor, your shift will start 11:00 pm and finish 7:30 am.

A little taste of your day-to-day

• Assisting the Night Manager in preparing overnight reports, balance the daily transactions and setting up for the day ahead.
• Processing payments including room charges, debit and credit, cash and cheques in accordance with established procedures
• Checking guests in, out and managing any wake-up call requests
• Answering phones and dealing with overnight guest queries
• Performing other duties such as concierge services, room service and special guest requests
• Ensure safety and security of all guests and employees
