Job summary
CK Connect in Melbourne, Australia, is seeking an experienced Network Engineer with hands-on Azure networking expertise to design, implement and operate enterprise networks across cloud and on‑premises infrastructure.
You will work across Azure VNets, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, NSGs and hybrid connectivity, delivering secure, scalable connectivity and resilient security architectures for complex environments.
Qualifications

- Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex Layer 2/3 and cloud networking issues.
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT and routing (BGP/OSPF).

- Configure and manage Azure VNets, subnets, route tables and NSGs.
- Implement and support Azure VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute and site-to-site / point-to-site VPN.

- Configure and troubleshoot Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway and Azure Front Door.

- Manage DNS, DHCP, IP addressing and network services.
- Troubleshoot Layer 2, Layer 3 and cloud networking issues.

Job description
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with strong Microsoft Azure networking expertise to support the design, implementation, optimisation and ongoing operation of enterprise network environments across cloud and on-premise infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a strong background in traditional networking combined with hands-on experience across Azure networking services, hybrid connectivity and cloud security.
This position would suit a Network Engineer who has developed strong traditional networking foundations and is looking to work extensively across Azure cloud networking, hybrid infrastructure and modern enterprise connectivity. The role will provide exposure to complex Azure environments, cloud transformation initiatives and enterprise-level networking projects.
- Design, deploy and support network infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and on-premise environments
- Configure and manage Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, route tables and Network Security Groups (NSGs)
- Implement and support Azure VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute and site-to-site / point-to-site VPN connectivity
- Manage hybrid connectivity between Azure, data centres and corporate locations
- Configure and troubleshoot Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway and Azure Front Door
- Support Azure Firewall, NAT Gateway and network security architecture
- Implement network segmentation, routing and secure connectivity across cloud environments

- Strong commercial experience as a Network Engineer, Cloud Network Engineer or similar
- Demonstrated hands‑on experience supporting Microsoft Azure networking environments
- Strong understanding of enterprise network architecture and cloud connectivity
- Experience working within hybrid cloud environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving capability
- Understanding of network security principles and Zero Trust architectures
- Ability to communicate effectively with infrastructure, security, application and business stakeholders
- Experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and NAT, routing protocols including BGP and OSPF, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto or similar enterprise networking technologies, firewalls, switches, routers and wireless networking
- Relevant Microsoft Azure, Cisco, Fortinet or other networking certifications would be advantageous
