Job summary

Verse is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer in Perth, Australia, to support and optimize the enterprise network and systems infrastructure. The role requires at least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with strong skills in Windows Server, VMware, and Azure. You will design, deploy and maintain infrastructure across various environments, ensuring high availability and security. Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure, systems, or network engineering.
  • Strong experience with Windows Server and enterprise networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, VPNs).
  • Hands‑on experience with VMware and/or Hyper‑V.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure or similar cloud platforms.
  • Experience with storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ansible).
  • Understanding of infrastructure security and compliance principles.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain network and systems infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless).
  • Manage Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and NAC services.
  • Support VMware/Hyper‑V virtualisation and Azure-based cloud environments.
  • Monitor performance, capacity, and availability; proactively resolve issues.
  • Contribute to infrastructure design, architecture, and automation initiatives.
  • Implement security controls, patching, and vulnerability remediation activities.
  • Support backup and disaster recovery solutions and testing (e.g. Veeam).
  • Assist with incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation.
  • Engage with stakeholders and vendors to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Maintain technical documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.
