Job summary

CKI Group in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our ICT team, delivering cloud infrastructure solutions across Microsoft Azure and AWS. This hands-on role blends cloud engineering, networking, and project delivery to migrate and modernise customer environments from start to finish.

You will provide Level 2/3 support and act as an escalation point for complex issues, requiring strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud/Infrastructure engineering or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Proven track record delivering cloud migrations and transformations.
• Strong enterprise networking knowledge and hybrid cloud experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimise Azure and AWS environments.
• Deliver cloud migrations and infrastructure modernisation projects.
• Support hybrid cloud and enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Configure cloud networking including VNet, VPC, VPNs, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect.
• Manage cloud security, access controls and monitoring; provide L2/L3 support.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our ICT team and play a key role in managing, supporting and delivering cloud infrastructure solutions across Microsoft Azure and AWS. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys a mix of cloud engineering, networking, project delivery and technical support. You'll work across internal environments and customer infrastructure, helping deliver cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades and modernisation projects from start to finish. You'll also provide technical support and act as an escalation point for more complex infrastructure issues, so strong troubleshooting and customer service skills are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, manage and optimise Azure and AWS environments
• Deliver cloud migration and infrastructure modernisation projects
• Support hybrid cloud and enterprise infrastructure environments
• Design and manage cloud networking, including Azure VNet, AWS VPC, VPNs, ExpressRoute and Direct Connect
• Configure and support firewalls, routers, switches, VLANs, DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP
• Manage cloud security, identity and access controls including Microsoft Entra ID, MFA and Conditional Access
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability and security
• Manage backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support and troubleshoot complex issues
• Work directly with customers to understand and resolve technical issues

About you

• 5+ years' experience in Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Engineering or a similar role
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS
• Proven experience delivering cloud migration and transformation projects
• Strong enterprise networking knowledge
• Experience working across hybrid cloud environments
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and Windows Server
• Experience with firewalls, routers, switches, VLANs and VPN technologies
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery, monitoring and security solutions
