Job summary

ProTech IT Solutions seeks an IT Administrator to manage Microsoft 365, endpoints, networks, and security across client environments.

You will monitor infrastructure, perform patching, support 3CX telephony, and align security with ACSC Essential Eight and VPDSF/VPDSS frameworks while maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Administration, or a related field with demonstrated experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows/macOS environments, endpoint management, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience managing IT infrastructure including networks, routers, switches, wireless systems, NAS/storage, and business telephony.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles including ACSC Essential Eight controls and security documentation.

Full Job description:

The Position:

• Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 environments, including user accounts, email services, security configurations, and related cloud services.
• Manage and maintain Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS endpoints, including system configuration, monitoring, patch management, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure across client environments, including servers, workstations, network devices, storage systems, and associated services.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including UniFi and DrayTek routers, switches, wireless access points, and Synology NAS systems.
• Implement and maintain endpoint monitoring, remote management, patching, and system maintenance using Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) platforms.
• Manage and maintain business telephony systems, including 3CX, ensuring system availability, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls in line with the ACSC Essential Eight framework and applicable security requirements.
• Support the alignment of IT systems and security controls with relevant education-sector frameworks, including VPDSF/VPDSS requirements, and maintain appropriate technical documentation.
• Monitor system performance, identify potential infrastructure and security issues, and implement appropriate corrective and preventative measures.
• Provide advanced technical support for complex hardware, software, operating system, networking, Microsoft 365, and infrastructure-related issues.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, system configurations, asset information, and records to support effective administration and ongoing maintenance of IT environments.
• Utilise PSA and RMM platforms to manage system administration activities, monitor service performance, track incidents, and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
• Evaluate and implement appropriate IT automation and AI-enabled tools to improve system monitoring, troubleshooting, operational efficiency, and service delivery.

Skills/Requirements

Pay: From AUD $85,000 plus super
