Job summary

Talenza in Sydney is seeking a Network and Infrastructure Engineer (Tier 3) to serve as the senior escalation point for infrastructure, networking, cloud, and security. You will manage Azure networking (VNet/NSGs), Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and related technologies while owning security, backup, and disaster recovery initiatives.

You will drive improvements, develop automation with PowerShell, and collaborate with technology leadership on infrastructure initiatives.

Qualifications

• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 technologies.
• Strong networking knowledge: routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, WAN/LAN.
• Experience with Entra ID, Intune, Active Directory, and endpoint management.
• Exposure to security tools such as CrowdStrike, ThreatLocker, Huntress, Defender, or similar.
• Scripting and automation with PowerShell.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of a complex tech environment.

• Contribute to infrastructure projects, platform upgrades and future-state planning.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, standards and processes.

We're partnering with a well-established financial services organisation that is investing heavily in its internal technology capability and infrastructure landscape.

As part of this growth, we're seeking a Network & Infrastructure Engineer (Tier 3) to become the senior technical escalation point across infrastructure, networking, cloud, and security. This is an opportunity to join a business that is bringing key technology functions in-house and looking for someone who enjoys ownership, accountability, and influencing technical direction.

This role goes beyond traditional support. You'll play a key part in maintaining, improving, and modernising the organisation's technology environment while partnering closely with technology leadership on infrastructure and security initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing

• Act as the Tier 3 escalation point for infrastructure, cloud, network, and security-related issues.

• Work closely with vendors, MSP partners, and internal stakeholders to drive service improvements.
• Contribute to infrastructure projects, platform upgrades, and future-state technology planning.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational processes.

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on expertise across Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 technologies.
• Strong networking knowledge covering routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, and WAN/LAN environments.
• Experience with Entra ID, Intune, Active Directory, and endpoint management.
• Exposure to security technologies such as CrowdStrike, ThreatLocker, Huntress, Defender, or similar tools.
