Job summary

Talenza in Sydney is seeking a Network and Infrastructure Engineer (Tier 3) to serve as the senior escalation point for infrastructure, networking, cloud, and security. You will manage Azure networking (VNet/NSGs), Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and related technologies while owning security, backup, and disaster recovery initiatives.

You will drive improvements, develop automation with PowerShell, and collaborate with technology leadership on infrastructure initiatives.

Qualifications

• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 technologies.
• Strong networking knowledge: routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, WAN/LAN.
• Experience with Entra ID, Intune, Active Directory, and endpoint management.
• Exposure to security tools such as CrowdStrike, ThreatLocker, Huntress, Defender, or similar.
• Scripting and automation with PowerShell.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of a complex tech environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as Tier 3 escalation point for infrastructure, cloud, network and security issues.
• Manage and optimise Azure networking (VNet/NSGs), Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and related technologies.
• Support and enhance enterprise networking environments: firewalls, VPNs, switching, connectivity.
• Own infrastructure security, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, and compliance initiatives.
• Lead backup, disaster recovery and business continuity activities.
• Develop automation and operational efficiencies via PowerShell scripting.
• Collaborate with vendors/MSP and internal stakeholders to drive service improvements.
• Contribute to infrastructure projects, platform upgrades and future-state planning.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, standards and processes.
