Job summary

Point Care Pty Ltd. is seeking compassionate support workers to assist clients under NDIS plans, delivering daily living assistance, transportation, respite care, and documentation of care plans.

You will work with diverse clients, follow health and safety regs, and engage in ongoing professional development. Start ASAP with flexible shifts including day, night, sleepovers and weekends.

Qualifications

• Blue Card and Yellow Card required.
• Certificate 3 or 4 in individual support or willing to complete (highly regarded).
• Lived experience or paid experience with people with disability.
• Open availability - Day, night, sleepovers and weekends.
• Prior experience with Child Safety clients a plus.
• Prior experience with mental health a plus.
• High school or equivalent completed.
• Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work with diverse client needs across backgrounds and languages.
• Basic care and first aid skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Access to ongoing training and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plan.
• Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing and grooming.
• Provide transportation assistance to clients.
• Provide respite care to clients and their families.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress.
• Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
• Follow health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field.
