Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school certificate or equivalent.
• At least Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability, AgedCare, or related field), or willingness to work towards completion(highly regarded)
• Lived experience and/or paid experience supporting people with disability (PLUS with Child Safety)
• Must be currently located in Australia at the time of application
• Must hold valid work rights and lawful permission to live and work in Australia at the time of application (VISA sponsorship not available)
• Availability to work across day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers,and weekends
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and duty of care obligations
• Ability to work with a diverse client base, demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity to varying abilities, backgrounds, and communication needs
• Basic care skills, including first aid (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic digital systems
• Access to ongoing training and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Child Safety Clients
• Assist with daily living activities,including eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming
• Provide transportation support toappointments and community activities
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date recordsof client care plans and progress notes
• Communicate effectively with clients,families, and other members of the care team
• Adhere to all health and safety policiesand procedures to ensure client well-being
• Participate in ongoing professionaldevelopment to remain current with NDIS best practices
