Job summary

Ability Street Community Services Pty is seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to join our Nerang team. You will provide care and support to individuals with physical and mental needs in the community, helping them access services and stay independent.

Role involves assisting with mobility, meals, personal care, household tasks, and transport to appointments. We value training and support for first-time workers; a valid ABN and car are preferred to enable client visits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with accessing community resources and services
• Provide emotional and social support to clients, engaging in conversation and social activities
• Assist clients with mobility and transferring, using mobility aids if necessary
• Support clients with meal planning, preparation, and feeding if required
• Assist clients with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, shopping and personal care if required
• Transport clients to appointments and outings
