Job summary

Healthscope Independence Services in Australia is seeking a passionate Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality care within Supported Independent Living (SIL) services for NDIS participants. You will assist with daily living activities, personal care and community engagement to help clients live more independently.

The role emphasizes teamwork, documentation, and adherence to policies, with ongoing training and EAP support.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Disability, Community Services, or related qualification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in disability or healthcare services.
• Strong communication, written, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Flexibility to work across a range of shift types.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support in line with individual support plans.
• Assist participants with daily living activities including meal preparation and feeding.
• Assist with household tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
• Accompany and support clients in community-based activities and outings.
• Ensure all documentation (daily notes, progress reports) is thorough and up to date.
• Experience with behaviours of concern and adherence to policies.
