Job summary

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• Certificate 3 or 4 in individual support or working toward it.
• Lived experience or paid experience with people with disability.
• Willingness to work day, night, sleepovers and weekends.
• Strong understanding of the NDIS and guidelines.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work with a diverse client base across languages/backgrounds.
• Basic care and first aid skills.
• Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to clients per NDIS plan.
• Assist clients with daily living activities (eating, dressing, bathing, grooming).
• Provide transportation assistance to clients.
• Provide respite care to clients and families.
• Keep accurate records of care plans and progress.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team.
• Follow health and safety regulations to ensure client wellbeing.
• Participate in ongoing professional development.
