Job summary

Busy Bees Early Learning is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead our national payroll function from the National Support Centre in Nundah. This hybrid, full-time role will manage end-to-end fortnightly payroll for around 3,000 employees and drive improvements across systems and processes.

You will mentor the payroll team, ensure compliance with Australian awards and legislative obligations, and partner with stakeholders to optimise efficiency and accuracy across the business.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading a complex, high-volume payroll function.
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and award interpretation.
• Experience mentoring payroll team with hands-on leadership.
• Collaborative leadership style with a hands-on approach.
• Strong systems capability and passion for automation and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end fortnightly payroll for ~3,000 employees.
• Mentor and develop the payroll team across the function.
• Oversee payroll compliance including Modern Award, PAYG, Superannuation, and Workers Compensation.
• Review and approve payroll payments; manage complex payroll matters and audits.
• Drive process and system improvements and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
