About The Role

This is an exciting senior executive opportunity to lead the operational and strategic direction of the ABC's National Networks Operations. Sitting within Product & Technology and reporting to the Head, Content Management and Distribution, you'll head up a national function spanning transmission, distribution, content delivery, Master Control and TV systems and technology.

  • Providing significant leadership and direction to develop staff effectively and build a shared understanding of and commitment to Department and Division goals, while driving change management and the introduction of new broadcast technologies, systems and workflows.
  • Actively participating in the Content Management and Distribution executive team by contributing to strategy and change processes, while identifying and developing opportunities that will benefit the ABC.
About You

  • A proven track record at senior management level in broadcast operations and/or media leadership.
  • Demonstrated high-level leadership, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to inspire a diverse group of people in a demanding, high-profile environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of satellite, telecommunications and/or broadcast transmission technology and systems planning.
  • Highly developed business/strategic planning and management capabilities, together with advanced analytical, planning and organisation skills.
  • Strong personal drive and commitment, as you've shown in a changing media environment.
