Job summary

SearchWorks Pty Ltd is seeking a Head of Civil Infrastructure to lead its national BDM team and own the civil portfolio, driving growth across water, roads, subdivisions, tunnels, data centres and electrification. This is a leadership role focused on ownership and strategy rather than pure sales.

You will steer the national civil strategy, build key contractor relationships, and shape long-term pipeline with a clear, executable plan. Based in Melbourne or Sydney, interstate travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Senior sales leadership experience in civil infrastructure products or services.
• Proven track record of growing through new business rather than only managing existing accounts.
• Strong commercial judgement: margin, forecasting and project selection.
• Established relationships with Tier 1 & 2 contractors, utilities or asset owners.
• Direct, measured leadership style and comfort working with senior stakeholders.
• Based in Melbourne or Sydney, with interstate travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a national team of BDMs with a focus on new business.
• Own the national civil strategy, budget and forecast.
• Drive pipeline discipline: qualification, coverage and long-range view of major projects.
• Build account strategies with Tier 1 contractors, utilities and asset owners.
• Step in on strategic projects at executive level.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, project delivery, specification and distribution teams.
• Grow emerging segments including data centres, electrification and renewables.
