Job summary

Blackwoods in Australia is seeking a commercially focused National Events Lead to own major industry expos, trade shows and hospitality experiences. You will drive end-to-end delivery across Australia, partnering with Sales, Customer Experience, Category and Supplier teams to create memorable experiences that engage customers and deliver measurable commercial outcomes.

The role requires strong event management, leadership and budgeting skills, with the ability to travel as needed to support

About the role

Are you an experienced events professional who thrives on bringing large-scale customer experiences to life? We're looking for a commercially National Events Lead to take ownership of Blackwoods' major industry expos, trade shows and customer hospitality events.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll drive the end-to-end delivery of a busy national events calendar while partnering closely with Sales, Customer Experience, Category and Supplier teams. You'll be responsible for creating memorable customer experiences that generate engagement, strengthen relationships and deliver measurable commercial outcomes

What you'll be doing

• Plan and deliver major Industry and customer events, expos and hospitality experiences across Australia.
• Manage event budgets, logistics, timelines and stakeholder communications.
• Partner with sales teams to maximise customer attendance, lead generation and post-event follow-up.
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to secure sponsorship, funding and activation opportunities.
• Measure event success through data, insights and post-event reviews.
• Lead and support a Regional Marketing Coordinator.
• Drive best-practice event governance, planning disciplines and reporting standards.
• Create innovative customer engagement experiences that enhance brand presence and commercial impact.

We're looking for someone who has:

• Proven experience managing large-scale B2B events, expos or trade shows.
• Strong event coordination and project management capabilities.
• Experience working across multiple stakeholders in marketing, sales and operational environments.
• Demonstrated people leadership experience.
• Commercially focused with a strong understanding of customer engagement and lead generation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel as required to support events
