Job summary

Optimum Health Solutions seeks a National Business Development Manager to drive growth nationwide while maintaining a reduced clinical caseload. You will pursue government tenders, secure corporate health contracts, and lead grant applications, building strategic partnerships that shape the organisation's next chapter.

You will work with the Managing Director and travel nationally to develop opportunities across NSW, Tasmania, and beyond.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration in an allied health discipline.
• Demonstrated BD, commercial management, or strategic sales experience in B2B or government contexts.
• Track record of securing contracts, tenders, or grant funding of material value.
• Strong written communication skills for tender and grant submissions.
• Commercial negotiation skills with ability to close deals.
• Ability to manage a national pipeline over long sales cycles.
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

Job description

Most allied health clinicians spend their careers delivering care. This role asks you to do that and shape the direction of an organisation at the same time.

Optimum Health Solutions is a multidisciplinary allied health provider with 15+ clinic locations across NSW and Tasmania. We are now investing in a dedicated national business development function, and we want a practising clinician to lead it.

As National Business Development Manager, you will drive Optimum's growth at a national level. That means pursuing government tenders, securing corporate health contracts, writing grant applications, and building the strategic partnerships that will define our next chapter. It does not mean managing local referral relationships or running a territory. This is senior, complex, high-stakes BD work.

Alongside that, you will maintain a reduced clinical caseload in your own discipline. Not as a side note, as a genuine advantage. Your credibility as a practising clinician is what opens doors in this sector that a non-clinical BD professional cannot.

What You'll Be Doing

• Identifying and pursuing national contracts, government tenders, and corporate health agreements

• Building senior-level relationships with government agencies, corporate clients, and peak bodies

• Working directly with the Managing Director to define and execute Optimum's national growth strategy
• Maintaining a reduced clinical caseload in your registered allied health discipline

What you'll bring

• Demonstrated experience in BD, commercial management, or strategic sales in a B2B or government context
• A track record of securing contracts, tenders, or grant funding of material value
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce compelling tender and grant submissions
• Commercial negotiation skills and the confidence to close
• The ability to manage a national pipeline independently over long sales cycles
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel nationally
